Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of ainoteq.com, including the GCC AI Obligation Register, the applicability diagnostic and Maya, the site assistant. By using this website you accept them. They do not govern a client engagement — that is governed by its own signed agreement, which prevails over these terms in any conflict.
1. Not legal advice
Everything on this website is regulatory information and structured analysis. It is not legal advice, it does not create a lawyer-client or advisory relationship, and it is not a substitute for advice from qualified counsel admitted in the relevant jurisdiction. Do not act, or refrain from acting, on the basis of anything published here without taking your own advice.
2. The register
The GCC AI Obligation Register is an index of AI-related instruments across the six GCC states. It links to primary sources published by the issuing authorities and describes them; it is not a reproduction of them, and the authoritative text of any instrument is the one published by the authority that issued it. Where an instrument exists in Arabic and English, the Arabic text prevails unless the issuing authority states otherwise.
Coverage is tiered and each entry states its tier: Verified (counsel-reviewed, applicability rules tested), Mapped (held and summarised, not yet counsel-verified), Tracked (monitored, no applicability rules yet). We also publish the instruments we do not yet cover. Regulatory material changes without notice and an entry may be out of date at the moment you read it. Always check the primary source before relying on it.
If you believe an entry is inaccurate, write to hello@fnoai.com. Corrections are recorded in a public corrections log rather than overwritten silently.
3. The applicability diagnostic
The diagnostic at /applies-to-you produces an indicative, automated result from the answers you give. It is a triage tool, not a determination. It does not take account of facts you did not enter, and it has not been reviewed by a person. A determination on which obligations bind your organisation is a professional engagement, and we will say so rather than let the diagnostic stand in for one.
Do not enter personal data, client data or confidential information into the diagnostic. It asks only for organisational characteristics.
4. Maya
Maya is an automated assistant. She explains Ainoteq's services, method and register and nothing else. She does not determine whether a regulation applies to anyone, does not state what a regulation requires, and does not give legal advice. Her answers are generated and may contain errors; do not rely on them. Do not share personal, client or confidential information with her.
5. Intellectual property
The compilation, selection, arrangement, commentary, classification, tier assignments and applicability logic on this site are Ainoteq's intellectual property and are protected as such. The underlying official texts are the property of, or are unprotected material published by, the issuing authorities, and nothing here asserts any right over them.
You may read, print and quote short extracts of our material for your own internal use with attribution to Ainoteq and a link to the source page. You may not republish, redistribute, systematically extract, scrape, mirror or use the register or any substantial part of it to build a competing or derivative dataset or product, or to train a machine learning model, without our prior written consent.
Ainoteq is not affiliated with, endorsed by or authorised by any regulator or authority named on this site. Names, marks and logos of authorities and third parties belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify the instruments they issued.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use this site unlawfully; do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to it; do not impose an unreasonable load on it or circumvent its rate limits; and do not use automated means to harvest content from it other than as permitted in our robots.txt.
7. No warranty
This website and everything on it are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including as to accuracy, completeness, currency, fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted availability. We do not warrant that any instrument listed is in force, that our description of it is complete, or that our coverage is exhaustive.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ainoteq is not liable for any loss or damage — including regulatory penalties, enforcement action, loss of profit, loss of business or any indirect or consequential loss — arising from your use of, or reliance on, this website, the register, the diagnostic or Maya. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Third-party links
We link to regulator and authority websites and other third-party sources. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability or terms.
10. Changes
We may amend these terms. The current version is always the one posted here, with the date above.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai, and the courts of Dubai have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory rights you have under the law of your own jurisdiction.
